To escape the heatwave we went to Apollo Bay for a weekend away with my Mom and Walter.
The trains had been cancelled due to the heat and so Angus struggled to get to us so that we could leave for the 3 hour drive. Eventually we found him and we headed off down some very curvy roads, just making it in time to book in to the motel.

The ocean was just perfect that Saturday morning, the water was warm and there was a cool breeze to keep the morning sun at bay.
Emily even managed to catch her first wave - with a little help from Dad.
Stephen had a little attempt as well.
Angus and Walter went to see the 12 Apostles that afternoon and then later...
...for an Otways Treetop walk - soooooo glad I was not with them!!!
Way too high for me - freaky.
We stopped at Lorne for some lunch on the way home on Sunday.
